Cities
The main cities in the Northern Peruvian Amazon region are Tarapoto, Iquitos, and Moyobamba.
Although Moyobamba is actually the capital of the San Martín region, Tarapoto is home to the airport, which immediately makes it better known. These cities share a similar atmosphere: the heat, the moto-taxis, a sense of freedom, and a zest for life.
