Between beach and hundreds of pre-inca ruins, you won’t get bored … The coast of Northern Peru consists of the regions of La Libertad, Lambayeque, Piura and Tumbes, at the border with Ecuador. It is mainly in the regions of La Libertad and Lambayeque that you will find the remains and the archaeological ruins. Nevertheless, in the regions further north, the water of the Pacific Ocean is warmer and you will certainly appreciate a little jump in the sea.
History left us an incredible amount of remains, ruins and mystery. This is perfectly visible with the Kingdoms of the Moche culture and the Chimu culture. There is a lot to learn – and still a lot to discover. The museums on the Northern coast of Peru are modern and very well presented. The Museum Tumbas Reales in Chiclayo is even one of the best in Peru !
