Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Huaraz & Rest at the Domes
As soon as you arrive in Huaraz, you’ll be welcomed and transferred to your accommodation. You’ll immediately be able to admire the snow-capped peaks of the Cordillera Blanca, including the majestic Huascarán, Peru’s highest point. Spend the afternoon relaxing and acclimatizing to the altitude amid peaceful farming landscapes.
Day 2: Panorama over Laguna Radian
For this first acclimatization hike, you’ll climb gently up to Laguna Radian (3,900 m). This small wild lake, on the edge of the National Park, offers a true panoramic balcony over the range of 6,000-meter peaks (Huandoy, Chopicalqui, Copa, and Huascarán). Back at the glamping site, observe the daily life of local farmers in their fields.

Day 3: The Glacial Valley and Lake Llaca
Departure by private vehicle toward Quebrada de Llaca. You’ll hike up this steep, spectacular valley of Huascarán National Park on foot to reach the glacial lake of Llaca (4,400 m), a striking emerald green, nestled at the foot of the impressive rock faces of Mount Ranrapalca and Mount Ochshapalca.

Day 4: Quilcayhuanca Trek | Huaraz – Pampa Cayesh
The start of your multi-day trekking adventure! After an hour’s drive, you’ll enter the splendid, pastoral Quilcayhuanca Valley. This first day of walking is gentle and flat (under 9 km), ideal for spotting free-roaming horses, condors, or the elusive Andean fox. Your camp will be set up facing Nevado Chinchey (6,309 m).
Day 5: Quilcayhuanca Trek | Pampa Cayesh – Lake Tullpacocha – Pampa Cayesh
A magnificent day of exploration awaits you as you reach Lake Tullpacocha at the head of the glacial valley. For the more adventurous, an afternoon option lets you push further into Quebrada Cayesh (6.7 km round trip) to get closer to the summit of Maparaju (5,326 m). Return to your camp for a second night under the stars.
Day 6: Quilcayhuanca Trek | Pampa Cayesh – Huaraz
You’ll make your way gently back down the Quilcayhuanca Valley toward the entrance gate, where your private vehicle will be waiting to take you back to Huaraz.
Day 7: Departure from Huaraz
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Anta airport or the Huaraz bus station for your next destination.
