Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Chiclayo
Welcome to the « City of Friendship »! Upon your arrival at Chiclayo airport, your private driver will greet you warmly and take you to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day relaxing or exploring the lively downtown markets at your own pace.

Day 2: Royal Tombs of Sipán Museum & Túcume Pyramids
This day is dedicated to the great coastal civilizations. You’ll begin with a visit to the famous Royal Tombs of Sipán Museum, home to the fabulous gold, silver, and precious stone treasures discovered in the tomb of the Moche ruler. In the afternoon, you’ll explore the Valley of the Pyramids of Túcume, an immense complex of 26 adobe structures built by the Lambayeque culture.

Day 3: From the Desert Coast to the Cloud Forest
You’ll leave the arid coast by private vehicle to begin a magnificent scenic drive climbing into the mountains of the Amazonas region. Your destination is the charming village of Cocachimba, the gateway to Gocta Falls, where the landscape transforms into a lush, vibrant cloud forest.

Day 4: Hike to Gocta Falls
A free day to connect with wild nature. You’ll independently walk the well-maintained trail through the rainforest to reach the base of Gocta, one of the tallest waterfalls in the world. Keep your eyes open for a chance to spot the Gallito de las Rocas (Andean cock-of-the-rock), the national bird with its brilliant plumage.

Day 5: Kuelap Fortress & Revash Mausoleums
Early departure to reach Kuelap, the majestic fortified city built by the Cloud People (Chachapoya). After the guided visit, you’ll continue on toward Leymebamba, stopping along the way to see the Revash Mausoleums, mystical, colorful burial houses built directly into the cliffside.

Day 6: Leymebamba Museum & Transfer to Chachapoyas

A great opportunity to understand the challenges of sustainable agriculture in a tropical zone.

Day 8: Tingana Community Natural Reserve
